Nicole Helfer

Nicole is an award-winning choreographer, director, and performing artist who has worked with many well-known Bay Area theatre companies such as TheatreWorks Silicon Valley, San Francisco Playhouse, 42nd Street Moon, Broadway by the Bay, Center REPertory Company, Contra Costa Musical Theatre, Ray of Light Theatre, The Mountain Play, Lamplighters Music Theatre, and Pacific Coast Repertory Theatre. She has taught theatre and dance for over 25 years and studied at San Francisco State University, the Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre, Big Sur Theatre Lab, the Dunham Technique Seminar in East St. Louis, and many professional workshops across the state. She has taught tap dance for many years, mostly in the style of Broadway Tap for various ages and skill levels. Nicole has won multiple awards for her choreography in musical theatre productions including Cabaret (SFBATCC award), Twelfth Night (SFBATCC award), Indecent (SFBATCC award), She Loves Me (SFBATCC award), West Side Story (TBA Award), In the Heights (TBA Award), as well as many nominations for choreography, direction and performance.
